Proud to partner with Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT)

Day & Ross is proud to partner with Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT), a non-profit organization that works closely with the transportation industry to educate and equip drivers to help combat human trafficking in their daily work.

Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery where people are bought and sold for forced labour or sex work – and it’s happening right here in North America. With the help of TAT, reports from drivers have led to both arrests and victim recoveries.

How we’re helping.

Many traffickers make use of highways and roadside establishments like truck stops and restaurants to facilitate human trafficking. That’s why our drivers and owner operators are uniquely positioned to make a difference. We already know they’re the heroes of the road and experts at being in the right place at the right time, whether they’re delivering goods or helping out fellow drivers.

This partnership harnesses the power of our great driving team and mobilizes them to make an impact. We’re equipping them with training, educational resources, and knowledge about proper reporting channels so they can help prevent these exploitative practices.

Our commitment.
As part of our commitment to TAT, we’re a Freedom Driver sponsor of the organization. More than just financial support, this is a reflection of our values and a true partnership where we’re working together to leverage our teams, resources and network in the fight against human trafficking. Laura Dickinson, Vice President, Safety & Compliance, represents Day & Ross as part of the TAT Canada Committee.

Truckers Against Trafficking at work.

Human trafficking has been reported all across Canada and the US, and it’s estimated that there are hundreds of thousands of victims in the US alone. Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) is founded on the belief that drivers are the eyes and ears of our highways and they have the power to make real change. Learn more about TAT
