Day & Ross is proud to partner with Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT), a non-profit organization that works closely with the transportation industry to educate and equip drivers to help combat human trafficking in their daily work.
Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery where people are bought and sold for forced labour or sex work – and it’s happening right here in North America. With the help of TAT, reports from drivers have led to both arrests and victim recoveries.
How we’re helping.
Many traffickers make use of highways and roadside establishments like truck stops and restaurants to facilitate human trafficking. That’s why our drivers and owner operators are uniquely positioned to make a difference. We already know they’re the heroes of the road and experts at being in the right place at the right time, whether they’re delivering goods or helping out fellow drivers.
This partnership harnesses the power of our great driving team and mobilizes them to make an impact. We’re equipping them with training, educational resources, and knowledge about proper reporting channels so they can help prevent these exploitative practices.
