Day & Ross, a leading provider of freight and logistics services, celebrated the opening of their latest terminal, a $40 million facility in Woodstock, Ontario that will serve as a major hub for their Southwestern Ontario operations. This facility reflects the company’s commitment to serving Ontario and is another significant investment in their impressive network, with terminals from coast to coast in Canada and a growing presence in the United States.
Strategically located next to Highway 401, Canada’s busiest roadway, the new terminal has convenient access to key locations as well as the four Day & Ross terminals in the Greater Toronto Area. Established in 1950, the company has had a presence in the Woodstock area for decades, with long-standing relationships with local customers.
The new 73,300 ft2 facility has 95 doors and is well equipped to serve customers with their expansive offering, including LTL/TL, cross-border, dedicated fleets, and residential delivery. Featuring a designated customer pickup zone and modern amenities for drivers, the facility improves the customer experience and prioritizes the safety and comfort of team members.
“I want to acknowledge the great work done by our Facilities team to bring this building to life on time and our Operations team for handling the transition into the new building seamlessly. The opening of our new location in Woodstock is a key milestone in our overall growth strategy, and reflects our commitment to being a great place to work, delivering an outstanding customer experience, and operating more sustainably,” said Doug Tingley, Chief Operating Officer, Canada. “This is another example of how we will continue to optimize our network and make investments in facilities, technology, equipment, and people to best support evolving customer needs.”
“We’re proud to make this investment in serving our customers throughout Southwestern Ontario,” said Bruce Morin, Chief Revenue Officer. “Our new Woodstock facility is strategically located and designed to meet a wide range of transportation needs.”
