Submit Claim

Before you submit a claim, make sure you carefully read our claims policy for LTL/Home Delivery and Dedicated Fleet Solutions below or download a copy from dayross.com/guides. To avoid freight claims in the future, check our Tips page for freight labelling and packaging guidelines.
If your shipment is damaged, lost or is missing items, you can submit a claim online or complete a claim form and email it to our Claims Department.
Only claims submitted in writing will be taken into consideration.
Check the shipment according to the Day & Ross Shipment/Freight Bill number, not the packing slip.
Explicitly note and sign for all damages or shortages on the driver’s handheld. The following notations are not acceptable and will not entitle you to file a claim:
If you need a paper copy of the Additional Services Form (ASF) noting damages and/or shortages, you must ask the driver for one before they leave your site.
Claims for concealed damage must be reported to Day & Ross within 24 hours. When concealed damage is noted, stop unpacking, notify us immediately and request an inspection. Continued unpacking of the shipment could disqualify your claim. Packaging must be retained for inspection by Day & Ross.

Retain your salvage until your claim is processed. If your claim is paid, you must hand over the salvage to Day & Ross.
