To intern on the road with us, you need to complete:
- Phase 1: Classroom instruction with an approved driving school
- Phase 2: Behind-the-wheel Training with a qualified Driver Trainer (driving school)
You also need to pass the Class 1 CDL exam to be legally employed as a commercial driver for Day & Ross and move onto the next phase:
- Phase 3: A 4-week internship with a minimum of 100 hours of behind-the-wheel driving with us
Whether you’ve completed your necessary training or you’re looking to find the right driving school, we’re here to help.
To be considered for this program, you must:
- Be eligible to work in Canada and the province of the program where you’re applying
- Have a clean Driver’s Abstract with no active suspensions
- Pass a background check
- Be at least 21 years old
- Agree to work for Day & Ross for a minimum of 12 consecutive months after graduation from an accredited driving school and having received your Class 1 Commercial Driving License (CDL).
