How to use our barcode stickers

Follow these 7 simple steps to make sure each shipment is labelled correctly and easy to identify.

Step 1 of 8

Make sure you have the right labels

New sticker sheets have a two-letter prefix, followed by nine digits, and piece-level count from 001–008.

Use a new sheet for each shipment

Each shipment requires its own sticker sheet.

Apply the white sticker

Apply the white sticker at the top to the Bill of Lading so the shipment information can be matched correctly.

Use the stickers in sequence

Use the barcode stickers in order, starting with 001 and continuing through the sheet.

Apply ONLY one sticker to each handling unit

Apply ONLY one sticker to each handling unit. Do not place it on the top or corners.

Keep the stickers in order

Make sure the sticker numbers match the handling units in order.

Use additional stickers when needed

Write your own label for additional handling units starting at 009 and continuing sequentially (010, 011, 012, etc.).

Damaged sticker?

Remove and discard all the stickers already applied to the freight, and use a new sticker sheet to ensure all labels are in sequence, are clear and readable.

Important reminder

 

Apply ONLY one label to each handling unit, ensuring the label remains visible and is not covered by shrink wrap, tape, or other packaging materials.

 

One handling unit is a single piece of freight, such as a box, pallet containing multiple boxes, crate, or drum. Each handling unit is counted, moved, and tracked as one item during shipping.
