In October 2025, we’ll implement two additional fees on our tariffs: Reweigh Administrative Fee and QC Fuel Surcharge.
Reweigh Administrative Fee: Effective October 14. To keep our operations safe, efficient, and compliant with regulations, it’s important that shipment documentation reflects the accurate weight of freight. When there is a significant difference, our team must reweigh the shipment to confirm the correct information. This activity takes time, labour and equipment to execute.
A Reweigh Administrative Fee of $20 will apply when a reweigh shows an increase of 35 pounds or more from the documented shipment weight. In these cases:
Weight accuracy helps us:
Our goal is to have accurate weights listed on the shipment documents/BOL. We encourage you to verify shipment weights carefully before tendering freight to avoid additional charges.
QC Fuel Surcharge: Effective October 15. Since Quebec maintains its own carbon pricing system, its fuel charge was not subject to the federal elimination of the carbon tax which took effect in April. Quebec continues to apply a carbon tax on fuel, which directly affects the cost of running our trucks in the province. To adjust and cover these costs, we will now apply a QC Fuel Surcharge to all shipments within Quebec, and between Quebec and Ontario.
The fee is determined by origin/destination and service level, and will appear as a separate line on your invoice:
If you have any questions about these fees, please contact your Account Manager.
