As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we are seeing some businesses closing or modifying their hours. In some cases, this is impacting our ability to deliver shipments.
We are asking Shippers to confirm that the Consignee will be open and available to accept shipment. If delivery is unable to be made as a result of a provincially mandated or extended closures related to COVID-19, or if no appointment can be facilitated, the freight will be returned to the point of origin at expense to the original billing account.
We will continue to work with consignees to make delivery arrangements in all other scenarios where freight was unable to be delivered (ex. reduced receiving hours). Please note "Hold for Pickup" service has been eliminated to reduce traffic in facilities and protect our employees. Instead, we are offering the option to deliver to consignee address.
